Arizona based artist Kaia Thomas was born in Southern CA in 1973. Kaia's medium of choice is painting in oils, and while her work centers mostly on the Arizona landscape, her subject matter includes floral, animal, architecture, and figurative. Living her entire life in remote, natural settings has been deeply influential to her artwork and subject matter, lending to a greater understanding of the finer intricacies of the natural world and the desire to express that through her art. She balances painting in her studio with plein air painting.
She has studied with well known artists J. Chris Morel, Phil Starke, and Glenn Renell. Her work has been exhibited in several shows, winning top awards, and has been published in Southwest Art Magazine.
